From the Horse’s Mouth
The ranch is nestled in a valley in the Gros Ventre Wilderness and mountains. Abundant trails in the Teton National Forest and Bridger Teton Park encompass diverse mountain terrain. Gros Ventre River Ranch sits at just under 7000 ft. with trails crossing altitudes up to around 11,000 ft.
Gros Ventre River Ranch is popular with riders and fishermen. Two miles of the Gros Ventre River flow directly through the ranch property, granting exclusive access to a classic fishery. Guests may also fish along the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park, nearby Yellowstone National Park’s abundant rivers, lakes and streams, and famed Henry’s Fork, just across the Idaho border. Other activities include canoeing, mountain biking, roping instruction, team penning and sorting, and nearby national parks, golf, tennis, guided whitewater rafting, rock climbing and more.
Gros Ventre River Ranch has a top-notch kid-friendly dude ranch program including horseback riding, fishing at the pond, mountain biking and more. A rec room in the downstairs of the main lodge houses foosball, ping pong, pool, puzzles, games, and movies.
Guests stay in historic cabins brought over from the valley’s second oldest dude ranch, the BarBC. These special cabins have been restored to include modern amenities and western luxury. Four log cabins and five log lodges welcome 30 to 40 new guests each week. Relax on your outdoor deck for postcard-perfect views and the occasional moose, elk or deer passing by.
This Wyoming guest ranch is known for its exceptional cuisine. Meals may include fresh fruits, homemade breads, grilled game meat and vegetables. Wine is included with each evening meal.
